FAZ Chartered Accountants are delighted and very proud to announce that our director, Falak Munshi has been named as a finalist in this year’s Asian Business Chamber of Commerce awards (ABCC) for Outstanding Finance Business of the Year.
There has been stiff competition this year with not only a high volume of applications going in but a high calibre of award entries. Notwithstanding, FAZ Chartered Accountants was chosen as one of only four finalists in this year’s awards for outstanding business in the finance category.
We believe that it’s our service-driven, client-focused mindset which has helped our application get us named as a finalist in this year’s awards. Business to us here at FAZ Chartered Accountants is about demonstrating and delivering a values-driven service. Take COVID-19 for example. There was a plethora of information freely available online about government schemes accessible by both business owners and accountants alike. But with many business owners drowning in fear and confusion, it was a minefield for many trying to decipher the schemes available. In what was already a financially challenging time for business owners, many other accountants saw COVID-19 as a money-making opportunity to ‘help’ these business owners by charging for publicly available information, capitalising on fear and confusion, which for us lacked business decorum. Here at FAZ Chartered Accountants we did a 180° on this mindset and took a completely different approach, investing and dedicating our time in providing free advice relating to the complex government schemes and grants, which we dispensed on public social media platforms and chat groups, benefiting a broad spectrum, not only our clients.
We also believe that our clear USP of a 100% success rate in ‘clean-up operations’ has supported our entry to reach the final. What do we mean by clean-up operations? There are many cases of business owners finding themselves in a financial mess, racking up thousands of pounds in HMRC fines and penalties due to non-submission of accounts and late tax returns. It’s worse when we’ve discovered that a client has gotten into a mess through poor service from a previous accountant! We are very proud here at FAZ Chartered Accountants to boast a 100% success rate in winning every appeal made to HMRC on behalf of our clients and literally getting these HMRC fines and penalties waived to zero, ranging from a few thousand to several thousand pound, five figure fines.
Furthermore, as an extension to our service-led approach, we are developing an innovative social enterprise platform aimed solely at the seed business sector designed to make accountancy and financial services much more accessible, another reason we believe that has supported our nomination as a finalist. More to news to come on this so stay right here for updates.
The awards will be taking place on Saturday 19 November 2022 at The National Conference Centre in Solihull and of course there will be an update following the awards, so stay right here for up-to-date news.
